A 2 week long listing promotion on collectibles is just the beginning. Auctionbytes report that certain innovations are on the way.Forum discussions with ebay to improve content, regular promotion sales and incentives, integrating external pricing catalogs, verifying authenticity, report item to report violations etc. are being planned to be implemented.
Community generated catalogs would be a new feature. Ebay tries to grab a part from its competitors like Wigix. But the results all remain based on the receptiveness from the part of customers who had been chased away by the ebay themselves.
